Q: How do I get an estimate?

A: Generally, we can give you an estimate over the phone – simply call or email us to start the process. In some cases, we may need to visit your home in-person to give you a more accurate estimate. If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you may need an in-home estimate:

  • Is your home 1,500 square feet or larger?
  • Do you have any large or bulky items (e.g., safes or pianos) that may be difficult to move safely and securely?
  • Does your home have any narrow hallways, doorways, or stairways that furniture cannot fit through?
  • Do you need our packing/unpacking services?

Q: What should I keep with me on moving day?

A: We do not move cash, jewelry (including watches) or medications, so set these aside and plan to move them in your personal vehicle on move day. Keep anything you or your family will need on the day of your move – snacks, phone chargers, change of clothes, toothbrush, toothpaste, tea/coffee, and your kids’ favorite toys – with you. Additionally, important paperwork (e.g., birth certificates and passports), and anything highly valuable or sentimental should also be set aside. On moving day, place these essential items in a box or bag that you’ll carry yourself with you to your new home. 

Q: How far in advance should I book a move?

A: This really depends on how busy we are on your projected move date. Weekends and end of the month dates are always our busiest times, as are school holidays. Our advice is to book as soon as you have a move date you’re fairly certain of. Remember that you can always reschedule without penalty as long as you give us notice ahead of time.

Q: What happens if my move date changes?

A: Don’t worry, these things do happen and (subject to availability), we’ll be happy to change your booking without penalty once you give us at least 24 hours’ notice.
