Mother’s Day is a time celebrate the hard work and dedication of each and every mother around the world. But unfortunately, some mothers don’t have the luxury of celebrating this special day. That’s why at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, we’ve developed the Movers for Moms campaign, which allows us to collect essential care items which are then donated to moms living in local women’s or family shelters on Mother’s Day.
How Movers for Moms works
Local TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises work with other partners in the community to setup collection sites where people can donate essential care items. Once the items have been donated to the collection sites, our moving teams will pickup and deliver these items to the shelters they’ve partnered with to receive the donations on or around Mother’s Day itself.
Items typically collected for Movers for Moms include: haircare products, shampoos and conditioners, soaps, pillows, blankets, slippers, and basic clothing items. These items may vary depending on what the shelters are most in need of.
Recognising the mothers in our community
At TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, the very foundations of our brand were built on the hard work of a mother, our founder Mary Ellen Sheets, as she worked to start a local moving business with her two sons. Since then, some of the most successful franchisees in the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK network have been mothers, and we’ve made it a point to appreciate mothers everywhere!
